Bassel Ghandour is a Jordanian multihyphenate who co-wrote and produced THEEB — winner of the BAFTA award for Outstanding British Debut and the 2016 nominee
for Best Foreign Language Film at both the Academy Awards and the BAFTAs. His directorial debut, THE ALLEYS, premiered at the Locarno Film Festival.

in a violent neighborhood of East Amman, won
numerous festival awards and grants during its
development and post-production phases.
Enjoying critical success at numerous international
festivals including Locarno, Rotterdam and
London, the film won the Best Arab Film Award at
the Cairo International Film Festival along with the
Audience Award from the Malmö Festival. The film
was released across the Arab World and screened
on Netflix to positive reviews.
