THE FURNACE (2020), which world premiered at the Venice Festival and earned him praise in the Screen
Daily review for his "eye-catching” performance." He previously starred in Mohamed Diab’s CLASH which opened Un Certain Regard at
the 2016 Cannes Film Festival and in SHEIKH JACKSON which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2017. Also, GQ Middle East awarded him the Breakthrough Actor award in 2020.

Malek was featured alongside an all-star cast in Marwan Hamed’s box office smash KIRA & EL GEN and
followed up with a co-starring role in Netflix’s THE SWIMMERS, which opened the 2022 Toronto
International Film Festival. He finished shooting on the BBC series BOILING POINT alongside four
times BAFTA nominee, Stephan Graham.
