Netflix has enjoyed a bigger presence in the region after launching several buzz-generating Arab originals including the TV series THE RAWABI GIRLS SCHOOL, FINDING OLA (confirmed a second season), LOVE, LIFE AND EVERYTHING INBETWEEN and the local language feature film remake of PERFECT STRANGERS. While Netflix’s diverse and content can provoke social media backlashes, particularly from the more conservative Arab critics and viewers, such controversies have also helped draw attention to the platform and strengthened its regional appeal.
