Murad became the first Arab filmmaker to win Oscar student award with his 2021 short TALA’VISION. The film – about an eight-year-old Syrian girl who finds solace and freedom in a forbidden television – has been a resounding success elsewhere too, including winning the best short film award at the Red Sea International film festival. TALA’VISION is distributed by MAD Solutions. His feature documentary SPIRIRT OF THE BALL (2019) was shown as a Netflix Original last April.
