Monia segued from her Cannes-selected 2016 short SUBMARINE, about the garbage crisis in Lebanon, to her debut feature COSTA BRAVA, LEBANON, about a free-spirited family who seeks a mountain refuge from the toxic pollution of Beirut. Starring Nadine Labaki and Saleh Bakri, it premiered in the Horizons section of Venice last year and then went to win an unexpected audience award at the London Film Festival. Participant Media, MK2 Films and Endeavor Content teamed up to handle worldwide distribution. Monia is developing a new feature set in the U.S. with a Lebanese character as its protagonist.
