Mohamed Keblawi
Director of Malmo Arab Film Festival and Arab Cinema in Sweden
The recipient of the Arab Personality Award from the Arab Cinema Center at last year’s Berlinale, Mohamed heads up Europe’s largest film festival focusing on Arab cinema. More than just an exhibition window, MAFF actively catalyzes co-productions through its MAFF Industry Days. The festival has just celebrated its 12th anniversary edition this April, showcasing 56 features and shorts from 14 different Arab countries and providing a welcome physical meeting point for Arab filmmakers and their Nordic counterparts after two years of virtual events. Mohamed launched his own production company last year, producing a new feature by Palestinian director Rasheed Masharwi.
