Africa’s premier film project pitching and co-production market was forced to postpone its virtual activities that were originally scheduled to run in late July last year due to the ongoing unrest and violence in parts of South Africa sparked by the jailing of former president Jacob Zuma. The event was re-set for August, when Egyptian Ahmed Fawzi Saleh’s HAMLET FROM THE SLUMS and Mohamed Siam’s ETHEL, were among the official DFM projects.
