Already an established distribution force in the UAE and also Kuwait, through its corporate links to Hisham’s Kuwait National Cinema Company, Dubai-based Front Row expanded its presence in the region with the January 2021 opening of Front Row Arabia to service the burgeoning KSA marketplace in partnership with local exhibitor Muvi Cinemas. It has released 40 films in the Saudi market already and boasted seven films in the selection of the inaugural Red Sea film festival in December. Known for its prolific release slate of independently acquired international titles, Front Row also made waves with its first first production, an Arabic remake of the Italian film PERFECT STRANGERS for Netflix that was in co-production with Egypt’s Film Clinic and Empire Entertainment.
