The inspired conceit behind his 2018 film TEL AVIV ON FIRE, Sameh’s smart satire about Israeli-Palestinian relations, is that the film uses the filming of nightly soap opera in Ramallah to lampoon stereotypical attitudes about Arabs and Jews.
