At Cannes 2020, Sameh became the first Egyptian to win the Palme d'Or for Short Films with I’M AFRAID TO FORGET YOUR FACE, an almost completely silent narrative that depicts the impossible reunion of two lovers. At this year’s Cannes, Sameh will be among those on the jury for short films and Cinéfondation film school competitions.
