Initially targeted to start in April 2020, the festival pushed back its inaugural edition to August 2020 when its 11-day event was held for Jordanian audiences in the Abdali district. The festival concept, which was initially developed by MAD Solutions, revolves around showcasing the work of first timers in the different film sectors in Arab cinema— direction, screenwriting, editing, cinematography and acting—alongside Jordanian premieres of Arab and international films.
