Much has happened to Diab since his screenplay for THE ISLAND, became huge success throughout the Arab world and then his second feature film as director, CLASH, made waves as the opening film in Cannes’ Un Certain Regard 2016. He is now in the final stages of his pan Arab co-production feature AMIRA, which has a Palestinian story theme and stars Saba Mubarak, Ali Suliman and Saleh Bakri. In October 2020, Diab was hired to direct episodes of the upcoming Disney+ streaming series MOON KNIGHT which stars Oscar Isaac as the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Filming of the six-part series began in late April this year in Budapest with a planned 2022 release.
