Founded in Ramallah in 2014 to help young Palestinian talents to tell their personal history and document their collective memory, FilmLab organizes filmmaker meetings, screenings, post-production facilities, professional workshops and overseas residencies. It builds audiences through its annual Cinema Days and even film shows for children. Hanna co-produced the first ever Palestinian feature film to be in the main Tiger competition at Rotterdam, THE REPORTS ON SARAH AND SALEEM. Neither social distancing nor international funding curbs on Palestinian cultural institutions failed to deter the event's seventh edition which took place last October and kicked off with the Arab premiere of Berlin Golden Bear winner THERE IS NO EVIL by Iranian filmmaker Mohammad Rasoulof.
