Her first co-production with Egypt, Ayten Amin’s SOUAD was selected for last year’s canceled Cannes Film Festival and then played at others including this year’s Berlinale and the Tribeca Film Festival with the Cannes Label, where it won the Best Actress award for both main actresses. Dora is preparing her third film with Mohamed ben Attia, the Tunisian director of the award-winning feature HEDI. The third edition of her Manarat Festival of Mediterranean Film has been postponed until next year because of the pandemic. Bouchoucha completed filming of GHODWA, the directorial debut of Tunisian pan-Arab acting star Dhafer L’Abidine through her company NOMADIS IMAGES.
