Amr directed the first Egyptian Netflix Original Series PARANORMAL along with the Emirati director Majid Alansari (with each helming three episodes). Based on late Egyptian author Ahmed Khaled Tawfik’s 81-novel series, Ma Waraa’ Al Tabi’aa, the series enjoyed decent success in Egypt when it premiered in November 2020, but not enough around the world to ensure a Season 2. Amr, who has finished shooting his sixth feature film BARA EL MANHAG, has partnered with Mohamed Hefzy in the new company Meem that created PARANORMAL. The two have worked together before, notably on the 2017 film SHEIKH JACKSON.
