Ali’s debut documentary CAPTAINS OF ZA’ATARI was selected for the one of the competition line-ups of this year’s Sundance Film Festival before going on to play at the Seattle, Moscow, San Francisco and several other festivals to come. The film will also get a theatrical release in the U.S. in November 2021, after selling rights into Utopia that is planning for a release in New York and Los Angeles, alongside a premiere on Apple TV and Altavod. Ali is also producing the new film project by the acclaimed filmmaker Yousry Nasrallah which got six awards during Cairo Film Connection 2020. And he will also be acting in his first role too, in a TV series by the same filmmaker, Nasrallah.
