Zaid is the only major exhibition player in Iraq, a country where he has devoted himself to reviving cinema after decades of dictatorship and war had scared off moviegoing. Having founded many multiplexes, he will be soon opening the first ever IMAX screen in Iraq. He supports many Iraqi films, attends all key festivals (Cannes, Berlin, Toronto) and is planning to be a co-producer on selective Arab titles.
