Still one of the main players in the Arab world, particularly on the strength of its sister company Novo Cinemas, Selim’s Gulf Film has assumed a lower profile of late because of the political crisis brought on by the Arab blockade of Qatar. Gulf Film had set plans for big productions but those have yet to materialize.
