A Kurdish/Syrian refugee who finished art school in the Netherlands before becoming a filmmaker, Rosh established his June festival in 2016 and in so doing created a valuable new space for Arab films with screenings, workshops and networking. The audience has been growing there year after year and he has plans now to distribute Arab films commercially to Dutch audiences.
