Although primarily consumed with being president of the Cairo International Film Festival (see separate entry), Hefzy has still found time to some producing this past year through his company Film Clinic. In conjunction with Lagoonie Film Production, he produced the star-studded NEW YEAR, which also marks his return as a screenwriter. And he teamed up with Film Factory and Front Row Entertainment on Zeina Durra’s British-Egyptian love story LUXOR starring Andrea Riseborough, Karim Saleh and Shereen Reda. Film Clinic has won more than 150 festival awards for its film output so far.
