Mohamed’s breakthrough debut HEDI became the first film since PARADISE NOW to appear in competition at the Berlinale where it scooped awards for both Best Director and Best actor in 2016. His second feature WELDI, about a father who is in search of a son who has joined extremists in Syria, premiered last year at Cannes in Director’s Fortnight before touring the world’s festival circuits. Both films were produced by Dora Bouchoucha and distributed by MAD Solutions for the Arab world and by Lux Box internationally.
