Bassel’s debut feature as a writer and producer reached all the way to the Academy Awards. THEEB, Jordan’s first even nominee for Best Foreign-Language Oscar, stormed the international marketplace (where it was released in a record 12 Arab countries through MAD Solutions). Bassel is the writer of JINN, the five-episode series about teenagers who discover a genie in Petra that marks Netflix first Arab-language drama commitment which will air in April. He is also planning a debut feature, THE ALLEYS, involving several interconnected characters in an East Amman neighbourhood.
