Ali made his international name playing one of the two brothers (opposite Kais Nashif) in the 2005 film PARADISE NOW and followed up with roles in such high-profile TV series as THE STATE, THE LOOMING TOWER and TOM CLANCY’S JACK RYAN. He will now be seen in Cannes, in the role of “mad man”, in the competition film IT MUST BE HEAVEN (appearing opposite the film’s director, Elia Suleiman).
