Ali teamed up with fellow Emirati filmmakers including Amer Salmin Al Marri and Hani Al Shaibani in a collective film entity that has its eyes on bigger, commercial Arab features. Before teaming up in this producing union, Ali was involved in several features including HAJWALA, an Emirati drama set in the underworld of street car racing in the UAE that also spawned a sequel last year.
