Starting his career in 1964, Ahmad has been called the father of Middle East cinema. He is the co-founder and co-owner of Gulf Film and Grand Cinemas, giving him an important say in what gets seen and shown in the Gulf countries. He has distributed many Egyptian films in the GCC such as THE CELL by Tarek Alarian.
