For the last four years, the Ministry has worked with DIFF’s production support programme Enjaaz to select a standout Arab narrative feature project dealing with societal issues. The lucky recipient is then handed a cool $100,000 in cash. This is the biggest development award in the Arab world for Arab films – and one that filmmakers are hoping won’t become another casualty of the DIFF cancellation announcement.
