Burbank International Film Festival is a non-profit organization that utilizes technology to support the diverse of cultures and provide independent filmmakers from around the world with a platform for discussions. Every year, the festival hands out 30+ awards that include unique and special awards to celebrate inclusion, social awareness and diversity, like Awareness Award, Best Faith-Based and the Lifetime Achievement Award. It also offers awards in a variety of categories, including Drama-Feature, Comedy-Feature, Best Feature, Animated-Short, Comedy-Short, Documentary Feature-Length, Documentary-Short, Drama-Short, Foreign-language Feature, Foreign-Language Short, Horror Short, Fantasy Thriller-Feature, Fantasy-Short, Screenplays-Original, Screenplays-Adapted among others.
