Blackbird Film Festival in a non-profit organization that provides a platform for experienced, emerging and first-time independent filmmakers from around the world. The festival offers internship opportunities for students in many fields, including media production, event planning, marketing and public relations. It is open to Micro Short, Narrative Short, Narrative Extended, Narrative Feature, Documentary Short and Documentary Extended categories along with other specialty categories such as New York State Filmmakers, Immersive Media and Web series / Episodic.
