Affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, the Saudi Film Commission was established in February 2020 in Riyadh to both regulate the cinema industry in the Kingdom as well as develop suitable production infrastructure for bringing Saudi cinema to the world stage. As part of that, an ambitious plan has been put in place to support Saudi talents either through workshops or traveling to film festivals. After years of working in Marketing and PR for agencies like Ogilvy and Porter Novelli, Ghassan joined the commission where he handled talent development before becoming the director of Film Promotion.
