A Kurdish/Syrian refugee who finished art school in the Netherlands before becoming a filmmaker, Rosh establish his June festival in 2016 and in so doing created a valuable new space for Arab films with screenings, workshops and networking. As part of its year-round commitment to expanding audience appreciation for Arab cinema, the festival has just launched CMENA.NL, a streaming platform that offers the best filmmaking from across the Middle East and North Africa.
