When not working nonstop in the Egyptian industry, Ahmed still finds time to appear in international films.
His first Australian film THE FURNACE, in which he plays an Afghan cameleer on the run in the outback,
premiered in Venice and is available now on the Middle East version of Netflix. He has also just finished
shooting his new British film THE SWIMMERS by Sally El Hosaini about the Syrian swimming sisters who fled as
refuges all the way to the 2016 Rio Olympics. GQ Middle East magazine chose Ahmed as its Man of the Year at
the end of 2020.
